Questions.Answered.
Answers to the most common questions about participating, the ecosystem, the agenda, logistics, and what happens after Barcelona.
Participation is not available to purchase on a website. You submit an application covering your professional positioning, cross-border practice, and alignment with the ecosystem. The programme team reviews every application for relevance, domain alignment, and jurisdictional fit. You are notified within 3–5 business days. If confirmed, you then complete your founding contribution. This is not a gatekeeping exercise for its own sake — it is how we ensure that every professional in the room has been considered for their relevance, which is what makes the exchange genuinely consequential.
Independent participants are professionals entering the UNBOUNDED™ Global Ecosystem for the first time through Barcelona. Institutional participants are already members of — or are in the process of joining — one of the six UNBOUNDED™ institutions (WONE Global, World Law Alliance, UniOne, The Neutrals, ForMark Global, or the IJC). Institutional participants have access to their institution's Founding Circle session — a closed, structured alignment meeting running in parallel with the open programme — in addition to the full convergence. Their founding contribution is also preferential: USD 1,250–1,500 versus USD 1,995 for independent participants.
The application form takes approximately 15–20 minutes to complete. Once submitted, the programme team aims to respond within 3–5 business days. During periods of high application volume, this may extend slightly — you will receive an acknowledgement immediately on submission. If you have a specific deadline (travel booking, visa application, etc.), email contact@unboundedglobal.com and the team will expedite your review.
The founding contribution covers full participation in the UNBOUNDED™ 2026 Barcelona convergence — both days (14–15 August), all three convergence tracks, all plenary sessions, hosted lunches on both days, morning and afternoon coffee breaks, and the UNBOUNDED™ Honours Evening on 15 August. It does not include accommodation, flights, or travel. The contribution for independent participants is USD 1,995. For institutional members and joining partners, it is USD 1,250–1,500 (rate confirmed through your institution).
Founding contributions are non-refundable after confirmation, as participation places are curated and strictly limited. Once confirmed, your place is reserved and other applicants may have been declined to accommodate you. In exceptional circumstances — serious medical emergency, bereavement, or force majeure — a credit toward a future UNBOUNDED™ edition may be considered at the team's discretion. Please contact contact@unboundedglobal.com as early as possible if your circumstances change.
Yes — most independent participants are not yet institutional members. Barcelona is frequently where that changes. Your application will include questions about which institutional pathway interests you most, and the programme team will facilitate introductions with the relevant institution during and after the event. You do not need to be an institutional member to participate as an independent founding participant.
There is no standard group discount, as participation is individual and application-based. However, firms sending three or more confirmed participants may contact contact@unboundedglobal.com to discuss preferential institutional rates — which may apply if the firm is in the process of joining one of the six ecosystem institutions through Barcelona.
If your application is not accepted for the current edition, you will receive a clear response explaining the reason — typically insufficient cross-border alignment for the current programme focus, or that the relevant discipline or jurisdiction is already well represented. You may reapply for a future edition or request a conversation with the team to understand how your profile could be better positioned for consideration.
On confirmation you receive: a full digital delegate pack including the programme, ecosystem map, participant directory, and role-pathway guide; pre-event introductions to participants in adjacent disciplines and jurisdictions; access to the UNBOUNDED™ delegate portal; and confirmation of your attendance at the Honours Evening. Where applicable, institutional participants also receive details of their Founding Circle session timing and location within the venue.
The two days consist of plenary sessions (all participants together), parallel track sessions (separated by discipline — Business, Legal, Neutrals), cross-disciplinary sessions (deliberate mixing of all three tracks), hosted lunches with structured seating, morning and afternoon coffee breaks, and the Honours Evening on Day Two. The Founding Circle sessions for institutional participants run concurrently in private spaces within the same venue. The full programme is available on the Agenda page.
Track I — World Cross-Border Business Convergence: for tax, audit, advisory, and business professionals. Track II — World Cross-Border Legal Reality Convergence: for legal practitioners, law firms, and dispute counsel. Track III — World Neutrals Convergence: for mediators, arbitrators, and neutral evaluators. Each track has its own sessions, speakers, and professional focus — but all participants have access to all three tracks, and the cross-disciplinary sessions are specifically designed to bring all three together.
No. Founding Circle sessions are closed and available only to institutional participants — members of, or professionals joining, one of the six UNBOUNDED™ institutions. They run concurrently with the open programme in private designated spaces within the same venue. They are not listed in the open programme and are not accessible to independent participants. The purpose of these sessions is institutional alignment — not content delivery.
The Honours Evening on the night of 15 August is a formal dinner and recognition ceremony — all participants are invited. UNBOUNDED™ Honours recognises excellence that reflects responsibility, integrity, and sustained cross-border impact across six categories. This is not a standard awards dinner — recognition is never purchased, never voted, and never given for volume or popularity. It is awarded by the UNBOUNDED™ programme team based on the quality and consequence of a professional's cross-border work. Smart formal dress. Starts at 19:30.
Yes. Hosted lunches are included on both days — with structured seating arranged by cross-disciplinary mix on Day One and by role pathway on Day Two. Morning and afternoon coffee breaks are included on both days. The Honours Evening on Day Two includes dinner. No other meals are included — participants are responsible for their own dinners on Day One evening, and breakfasts throughout.
Plenary and cross-disciplinary sessions are attended by everyone simultaneously. The three convergence track sessions run in parallel — you will typically attend the track most relevant to your discipline, but you may move between tracks as long as space permits. The Founding Circle sessions for institutional participants run separately and do not conflict with the main programme — they are scheduled to allow attendance at both.
The UNBOUNDED™ Global Ecosystem is six independent global professional institutions that together cover every layer of a cross-border professional engagement — intelligence (IJC), legal and advisory networks (WLA and WONE Global), dispute resolution (UniOne and The Neutrals), and market entry (ForMark Global). Each operates year-round independently. Barcelona is the first time all six converge in one physical setting. Learn more on the Ecosystem page.
For most participants, Barcelona is the natural entry point. Your application will include questions about which institutional pathway interests you most — tax/advisory (WONE Global), legal (WLA), arbitration (UniOne), neutral practice (The Neutrals), market entry (ForMark), or jurisdictional intelligence (IJC). The team will map you to the most relevant institution and facilitate an introduction during and after the event. You can also visit each institution's website directly to enquire about membership ahead of Barcelona.
No — institutional membership is separate from convergence participation and has its own criteria and onboarding. Barcelona creates the relationship and the introduction. Institutional membership follows through a separate process with the specific institution. However, founding participants in Barcelona receive priority consideration for institutional roles, and many founding participants formalise their membership in the months immediately following the event.
UNBOUNDED™ Members is the year-round membership community — a separate product that operates between annual convergences. It includes monthly cross-disciplinary sessions, curated peer introductions, the quarterly Dispatch publication, and priority access to future UNBOUNDED™ editions. It is open to alumni of past editions and to professionals who meet the community criteria. Learn more on the Members page.
Every confirmed participant in UNBOUNDED™ 2026 Barcelona is permanently designated as a Founding Participant — a recognition that does not expire and that marks your contribution to building the ecosystem at its most formative stage. This designation is reflected across all UNBOUNDED™ and institutional platforms, in the digital participant directory, and in the permanent record of the founding group. It is not a marketing label — it is a factual record of who was part of the founding group when the ecosystem first took physical form.
The full venue details are shared in the delegate pack upon confirmation of participation. Barcelona has exceptional event infrastructure — the venue will be a premium conference and hospitality space in central Barcelona, accessible from all major hotels. If you need the venue address ahead of confirmation for travel planning purposes, email contact@unboundedglobal.com.
Accommodation is not included in the founding contribution. A curated hotel list with preferential rates near the venue is provided in your delegate pack on confirmation. Barcelona has a wide range of hotels at all price points — booking early is strongly advised as August is peak season. The recommended hotels are within 10–15 minutes of the venue by taxi or metro. See the Barcelona page for more guidance.
Barcelona is in Spain, which is part of the Schengen Area. Most participants from EU member states do not need a visa. Participants from outside the EU/EEA should check the Schengen visa requirements for their nationality. The UNBOUNDED™ team can provide an official letter of invitation for visa application purposes — email contact@unboundedglobal.com with your full name, nationality, and passport number once your participation is confirmed.
Yes. Once your participation is confirmed, the UNBOUNDED™ team will issue an official letter of invitation on request. This letter confirms the event dates, venue city, and your confirmed participation status. It is addressed to the relevant embassy or consulate and is signed by the organising team. Allow 2–3 business days for issuance. Contact contact@unboundedglobal.com with your full name, nationality, date of birth, and passport number.
During the two convergence days: business or smart casual. The setting is professional but not formal — many participants attend in business casual throughout. For the UNBOUNDED™ Honours Evening on the night of 15 August: smart formal. For international participants: equivalent to cocktail attire. Ties are optional. The venue and the tone of the evening are premium — dress to reflect that.
Registration opens at 08:00 on Thursday 14 August 2026. Welcome coffee and informal networking begin from 08:00. The opening plenary session begins at 09:00. All participants are expected to arrive and register between 08:00 and 08:45 to allow the programme to begin on time. Institutional participants attending Founding Circle sessions should check their session-specific timing in their delegate pack.
Barcelona is the entry point, not the event. In the weeks and months following the convergence, participants receive: a post-event introduction summary matching them with relevant connections made during the convergence; follow-up from the institutional teams regarding relevant role pathways; access to the UNBOUNDED™ Members community (if applicable); and a permanent record of their founding participant status across all ecosystem platforms. The ecosystem relationships built in Barcelona are designed to operate year-round.
Selected session recordings and key outputs may be shared with confirmed participants in the weeks following the event — subject to speaker consent. The convergence is designed as a private, high-trust environment where professionals can speak candidly. Not all sessions will be recorded, and recordings will not be published publicly. A post-event summary document is shared with all participants.
During the convergence, every participant is internally mapped to the role pathway most relevant to their profile. In the Ecosystem Alignment Session on Day Two afternoon, participants receive guidance on what the pathway looks like for their specific discipline and institution. Follow-up introductions and onboarding conversations with the relevant institutions take place in the 4–8 weeks following the event. There is no automatic assignment — roles are confirmed through a relationship and alignment process with the relevant institution.
UNBOUNDED™ is an annual convergence — Barcelona 2026 is the fifth edition and the first in which all six ecosystem institutions converge simultaneously. Future editions will continue, with the ecosystem growing with each year. Founding participants in Barcelona are part of the ecosystem's permanent founding record regardless of future attendance. The six institutions operate year-round between editions.
Speaking applications are open to all confirmed participants and to professionals who wish to participate as speakers. Applications are submitted via the Speakers page. The application asks for your proposed topic or perspective, your relevant cross-border experience, and the track most relevant to your practice. Selections are made by the programme team based on alignment, jurisdictional relevance, and the overall balance of the programme.
Neither. UNBOUNDED™ does not pay speaker fees, and speakers do not pay a separate fee to speak. All speakers participate as confirmed founding participants and pay the standard founding contribution (institutional or independent rate as applicable). The speaking opportunity is part of participation — not a separate commercial arrangement. This ensures that every speaker is in the room because of their professional alignment, not because of a financial transaction in either direction.
UNBOUNDED™ does not use traditional keynote formats. Speaking formats include: Spotlight sessions (15–20 minutes, one professional sharing a specific perspective within their track), Panel discussions (3–4 professionals in structured conversation moderated by the programme team), and Cross-disciplinary dialogues (two professionals from different disciplines in structured conversation). Format is assigned by the programme team based on the applicant's profile and the needs of the programme.
Speaking applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and confirmations are made approximately 6–8 weeks before the event. All confirmed speakers are listed on the Speakers page and in the delegate pack. If you have submitted a speaking application and have not received a response 8 weeks before the event, contact contact@unboundedglobal.com.
