Interest in the Assembly extends beyond confirmed participants as professional institutions follow the development of its deliberative model.

Not every institution will have a representative in Barcelona. Many will be watching nonetheless.
Across professional bodies, chambers, dispute resolution institutions and advisory organisations, the Barcelona Assembly has attracted growing attention for reasons that extend beyond its speaker list. Its format has prompted discussion about whether international professional gatherings should move beyond presentations towards structured deliberation.
Observers are particularly interested in the Assembly’s emphasis on documented proceedings, jurisdiction-led discussions and institutional continuity. Rather than producing another conference report, the programme proposes a model intended to generate continuing work after delegates return home.
Several participating organisations are expected to follow the Assembly’s outcomes as they evaluate future collaborative initiatives and international partnerships.
Whether Barcelona becomes a recurring reference point will ultimately depend on the quality of its deliberations. For now, however, anticipation appears to be growing well beyond those who will be seated inside the Assembly hall.
