The World Legal Summit™ formally opened today as part of the Barcelona Assembly, commencing the principal legal proceedings of the Founding Annual Convergence.
Managing partners, founders, senior lawyers, in-house counsel, academics and legal professionals representing multiple jurisdictions gathered to examine developments influencing international legal practice and cross-border professional cooperation.
The opening proceedings focused on the evolution of international legal services, the increasing importance of institutional collaboration and the opportunities presented by corridor-based legal practice.
The World Legal Summit™ will continue throughout the Assembly with additional plenary discussions, leadership dialogues and institutional proceedings.
“The international legal profession continues to evolve alongside international commerce. The World Legal Summit has been established as a forum through which legal leaders can collectively examine that evolution and contribute to its future direction,” said Krishan Kakkar.
